Export:

Welcome to the wiki! This is meant to guide you to upload better, and more optimized models for holopipe. Select your 3D software below to begin!

Requirements:

Your 3D-model should have less than 70.000 verts, and as few materials as possible, maximum 10.
If you need to further optimize your model, we recommend using Simplygon and PiXYZ for cad.
More optimized models means a cheaper upload fee!.

Mesh:

Model should be exported as .obj, or .stl
One object = one mesh.
If you f.ex want to upload a whole house with furniture: Upload the house as one file, and each piece of furniture as one file.
The house = one file
A chair = one file
A sofa = one file
Remember to correctly name your materials, and remove all unused materials.

Texture Maps:

We use Physically Based Rendering (PBR). Because of this, there is no need to bake in lights/shadows.
Recomend using Substance for all textures
Export as 2048x2048 PNG
To speed up the process for us, the textures should all be in the same folder as the model itself.
_a = Albedo + Opacity (RGB+A)
_n = Normal (RGB)
_m = Metallic + Glossiness (RGB+A)
